The face-lift procedure restores a more youthful and rested appearance, with the most noticebale results seen on the neck, jowl and cheek areas. This procedure can be carried out independently or in conjunction with eyelid surgery. This is a very popular procedure offering long lasting; natural looking results. At the same time a brow lift is an option to raise brows and lessen forehead wrinkles. The facelift procedure can be performed with local or general anaesthesia. Careful incisions are made in the skin's natural creases in the frontal part of the ear, upwards towards the temples and at the rear of the ear in the hairline.

For fine line reduction (for example, those around the eyes or mouth) other method can be used such as: deep peels (Exoderm, Weekend-Peel) or skin texture smoothing through the injection of substances such as Aquamid or botulinum.

How long will I stay?
Within 3-4 days the stitches in the front of your ears can be removed. The other stitches are dissolvable and remain for two weeks. You may wash your hair 5 days post procedure. You will be required to stay a minimum of 5 nights in Poland in order to receive post operative care.

What is the recovery time?
Recovery is quick and you will feel little effect from the surgery immediately afterwards. Within 14-16 day your appearance will show little evidence of surgery (apart from your improved facial appearance). Post-surgical scars will be fading and hardly noticeable.

Step 1 - Consultation
Our surgeon, Adam, will meet with you individually to carry out an examination and to discuss treatment options with you and answer any questions prior to surgery. He may discuss the various optional procedures available to further enhance your facelift as appropriate including: soft tissue re-contouring, re-surfacing of facial skin, facial implants and wrinkle reduction by injection.

Step 2 – Anesthesia
Anesthetic is administered for your comfort with the choices include intravenous sedation and general anesthesia. Our surgeon will recommend the best choice for you.

Step 3 – The procedure

Depending on your desired impact of change, your facelift choices are as follows:

a.) Traditional Facelift - the incision usually starts within the hairline at the temples, continues around the ear and ends in the area of the lower scalp. If necessary, fat can be sculpted or redistributed from the face, jowls and neck, and underlying tissue is repositioned. The deeper layers of facial skin and the associated muscles are also lifted. Skin is repositioned over the uplifted contours and excess skin is trimmed away. A second incision under the chin may be necessary to improve the appearance of an aging neck.
